Fitness Classes

Thank you for being patient while we restructure our group fitness classes. Coming soon, "Strong by Zumba" and "Zumba Gold." 

Class fees are $3 per class. 10-class fitness passes are $25. Class schedule subject to availability of instructor.

Zumba A high and low intensity aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance.

Aqua Zumba Jump into the Latin inspired, easy to follow, caloric burning, dance fitness party that makes working out a splash.

Yoga-Pilates Yoga fitness enhances flexibility and strength.  This mind-body therapy is sure to open up to a fitness experience you have never before experienced, strengthen, lengthen and create balance in your body with this Pilates experience, fused with Static stretch and Yoga poses.

Personal Training

Looking for a one-on-one fitness experience? Newman Fitness Center offers Personal Training to individuals. Opportunities are available for individuals to sign up for fitness assessments and exercise prescription, including:

Meet the Personal Trainers

Personal TrainerTerry Cox, a Certified Personal Trainer with more than 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, lives his motto: “Your Wealth is in Your Health.” Fitness is his passion, and he loves seeing others achieve their healthy, life-changing goals. His years of experience have taught him how to motivate and empower others.





Personal TrainerBrenda Zuniga Aguilar, from Ecuador, is certified by The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and specializes in aerobics training. Her success in overcoming personal challenges inspired her to challenge and encourage others to set and reach their health and fitness goals. While helping others reach their goals, she’s studying at Armstrong University to become a physical therapist.




Personal TrainerChristopher D. Hickman is an expert in strength training.He’s an International Fitness Association (IFA) Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified CrossFit Instructor. The 15-year Army veteran conducts training with a total body training method. He also incorporates basic methods of CrossFit into training. His goal: to help you reach their goals and maximum potential.

Ed Vista, certified as a Personal Trainer and Health Coach by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), is passionate about helping others change their lifestyle and achieve amazing results through exercise and education. Ed holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Kansas. He wants to help you get in the best shape of your life.



Personal TrainerJohn Burk a AMFPT certified personal trainer is a motivator who tells his clients up front that he’s going to push them, that when they choose him as a trainer they’re making a commitment and failure isn’t an option. Burk knows about motivation. He spent 13 years in the Army infantry, service which includes two years as a drill sergeant and a year as a small group leader at the Fort Stewart NCO Academy. He’s CEO of In The Arena Fitness.
